OnStream`s Echo software allows the DI30 to work in Windows just like any other drive, giving you access to files from any application. Echo automatically makes backup copies of every new or changed file and keeps track of them so you can easily and instantly recall any one of them just in case you need to recover an earlier version. It also has a catalog that is saved on your hard drive, as well as on each cartridge, so you never need to swap cartridges to search for a file. The DI30 has an EIDE interface, which provides a compressed data transfer rate of up to 120MB per minute.
