Featuring OnStream`s Advanced Digital Recording technology of the second generation, the ADR2.60S offers speeds of up to 8 MB/s. This drive truly does offer a unique blend of price, capacity and performance. Wide Ultra 2 compatible SCSI interface allows the tape drive and other devices on the bus to operate at maximum speed. And, because it is auto-sensing, it can automatically adjust to a single-ended or LVD bus. Continuous variable speeds virtually eliminate back-hitching inefficiencies and deliver consistent transfer rates for optimal performance. Spatially-distributed ECC across 8 channels protects your data, delivering a great reliability rating. Linear recording gently moves the tape across the head, allowing the tape to remain safely inside the tape cartridge. This reduces wear and noise. Advanced embedded servo system keeps the recording head on track ensuring that data is being written only where media is defect-free. Low Voltage Differential (LVD) SCSI interface provides differential signaling technology to assure greater signal integrity for faster and more reliable data transfers. The ADR2.60S digital tape drives comes with live TapeWare XE server software package including Disaster Recovery for Windows and Linux operating systems for today`s heterogeneous networks and workstations.
