TLA Series Tape Libraries
The revolutionary TLA Series Tape Libraries provide a total solution for data center managers who want to centralize backup and restore operations across heterogeneous systems that are rapidly growing in size and complexity. They offer a combination of scalability, flexibility, and compatibility that is truly unprecedented and will protect hardware and software investments for years to come. What`ll never have to deal with the hassle and expense of purchasing and managing multiple tape libraries. That`s because the TLA-8 and TLA-32 Series can be partitioned into logical libraries, each with different connectivity, tape drives, software, and media.
So, you can migrate to SAN and NAS for some systems, while continuing to use traditional host-based SCSI protocols on others. Both TLA series allow you to start with a base configuration and simply add drives and interfaces as your needs grow. The TLA-8 entry-level model includes two drives and 60 tape slots for up to 18 TB capacity, and expands to eight tape drives and 200 tape slots for up to 60 TB capacity. The TLA-32 entry-level model includes two drives and 100 tape slots for up to 30 TB capacity, and expands to 32 tape drives and 640 tape slots for up to 192 TB. And because you will be able to add newer tape technologies and interfaces as they are introduced, these libraries are virtually limitless in capacity and throughput.
