The latest in ultra high performance Digital Linear Tape technology, the CY-D300, is able to store from 300 GB to 900 GB on a single tape at speeds of between 36 and 100 MB/s, the CY-D300 delivers the performance to handle the most demanding server and enterprise backup requirements. Backward read compatible with SDLT 320, the CY-D300 will protect investments in SDLT technology while it gives IT Managers plenty of room to grow. The CY-D300 is available in single and dual drive desktop and rack mount configurations and features Cybernetics’ signature display option, which provides operation in progress, transfer rate, compression ratio, tape remaining, and more in a clear, easy-to-read format. Dual drives can take advantage of the Advanced SCSI Processor option, which provides the added functionality of striping mode (to maximize performance), mirroring mode (for tape duplication with fault tolerance), cascade mode (to write to multiple tapes within a single virtual storage device), independent mode (for simultaneous backup and restore) and off-line copy/verify mode (for serverless creation of off-site copies).
